Always Podcasts is a podcast player for iPhone. It is built to work without knowing who you are.
What we collect
Nothing. Always Podcasts has no accounts, no sign-in, no analytics, no advertising, and no tracking. The developer does not operate any server that receives data from the app, and no third-party analytics, advertising, or crash-reporting services are included.
What stays on your device
Your subscriptions, episode list, listening progress, downloaded episodes, artwork, and settings are stored only on your iPhone. If you back up your iPhone to iCloud or a computer, this data may be included in that backup under Apple's terms, as with any app.
The app also saves crash and performance diagnostics provided by Apple's MetricKit framework to your device, so that problems can be investigated. These stay on your iPhone and are not sent anywhere by the app.
Network requests the app makes
To do its job, the app connects directly to the following. Like any internet request, each of these services can see your device's IP address and standard request details.
- Podcast search: when you search, your search text is sent to Apple's iTunes Search API (
itunes.apple.com) to find matching shows. Nothing else is sent with it. Apple's handling of these requests is covered by Apple's Privacy Policy. - Podcast feeds, episodes, and artwork: the app downloads show feeds, episode audio, and cover art directly from the servers of the podcasts you subscribe to or look up. Those servers are run by each podcast's publisher or hosting provider, not by Always Podcasts, and their own privacy policies apply. Some podcast hosts measure downloads for their publishers; that happens on their side and is outside the app's control.
The app sends no device identifiers, advertising identifiers, or personal information with any of these requests.
Children
Always Podcasts does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13.
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this address with a new effective date.
